in an attempt to recreate the relative success of yesterdays post, I did this drawing.

I have been hearing people in the industry saying that a good sketch to base a painting on is essential, an I have always been reluctant to support it.

Today, however I proved to myself, just how important a sketch can be, because when I tried to make this a painting, I failed miserably.

Yet, because I have a good sketch, I still have something to upload

400th post

this is kind of a big moment for me. I started this blog about a year and a half ago and in that time I have drawn every day for at least 30 minutes.

That has become this bastion of unimportance that is my blog. It is not popular and I can’t say that I have allot in terms of personal style, but it is mine and no one can take that away from me.

So happy 400th post to me and here is to another 400 posts.

it has been a while since I uploaded a true blue digital drawing, so I thought today would be the day that I returned in style.

Well, that was the intention, and then this plopped out.

I can’t say that I am happy with this, which was drawing with reference to a marble statue that appeared on my dash, but it is present, which at this time of day (12.43 at night) is more than enough to qualify for an upload.

To forget my somewhat laughable drawing skills, I will thumb through “the art of Tomb raider” which I got as a birthday present and wish that I was a better artist.

I had a very long day yesterday.

by long I mean that I was up at 6 o’clock in the morning and asleep at 1 o’clock at night. and in-between that I had very little rest. it was hectic and frustrating and honestly, I would rather not talk about it.

However, what I will talk about is today, which is one of those classic “morning after” days. Not in the I-was-drunk-way, more in a I-don’t-have-anything-pressing-to-do-today-so-I-will-do-absolutely-nothing-way.

so yeah, I have done nothing of importance today. I think the most impressive thing that I have accomplished today is purchasing and playing “the wolf among us” by tell tale games (it was great by the way).
