bioshock ideation

12I don’t have allot of money. As some of you might have read, I spend allot of time earlier this year digging through trash as my main food source. So whenever I buy something frivolous, you know it’s not so much a want as a need.

I felt one such need last week at gamescom.

At gamescom there were allot of fan-shops. Mostly these dealt in t-shirts and action-figures. I will admit I have a soft spot for both, but I abstained, because, as I mentioned, I am not high on funds. This abstinence got me quite far as I saw material from all of those games that I love. In fact it lasted until I came across the “art of” book for Bioshock infinite.

I have mentioned, I am sure, How much I loved that games. I am not a big fan of first person shooters and I still thought it was the game of the year.

So needless to say, I had to have it. As I said, it was not so much a want as it was a need.

For about 4 days I circled around the stand that held the book arguing with myself over whether or not to buy it. It was expensive, yes, but it might hold insight into what exactly made the game as great it turned out to be (the vendors had been cruel enough to have the book remain, sealed, so that you could not even have a look at the content).

In the end of cause, I bought it and was not disappointed.

My favorite section, to no ones surprise, is the section on the female lead, Elizabeth. The Ideation for the character is so great, that I thought I draw something of an homage to it here. These character are all ideas for what Elizabeth could look like, had I been given the brief that described her.

I just purchased the game bioshock infinite with money that I do not have.
Yep, I small not proud of this, but I decided to ended my self even further and get this game. I haven’t played more than a couple of hours so far, so the jury is still out on the game as a whole, but I liked the previous games in the series, so I imagine I will like this one as well.
So far I am in love with the character Elisabeth, who is the closest thing the gaming world comes to a Disney princess.
